The brief

Give a substantial set of planning material a clear reading order, from introductory guidance to practical documentation.

Design approach

I used consistent heading levels, navigation and document structure across the resource family. The overview establishes the route; the manual develops the detail; the template gives that information a practical format.

Design details

  • A clear relationship between the overview, manual and template.
  • Predictable headings and contents lists for long-form information.
  • Repeatable document patterns that support consistent presentation.
